Have You Tried Hot Spa Rocks?

With our busy and hectic lives everyone can use a bit of peace and tranquility by creating your own relaxation spa at home. Now you can give yourself or your partner a hot rock treatment with hot spa rocks . Healers from various cultures have used hot stone therapy for many years and were known to have taken rocks from the riverbeds and heated them in water and hot coals. This same principle is used today to encourage relaxation and to ease muscle aches and tension.

Stone therapy is the application of hot basalt and cold marble stones in a thermo-therapeutic message, this is a technique that is rapidly spreading into spas and internationally.

A deep relaxing massage combines the use of the stones with essential oils massaged gently and smoothly over the body. The heat from the rocks penetrates the muscles and eases tension.
Stone therapy extends the healthful benefits of heat and coolness to the body at any time.
Stone therapy will leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed, cleansed and centered.
Those who experience a hot stone massage will notice a healing improvement of the following symptons:

* Muscular aches, pains, strains and sparains

* Circulation improvment

* Rheumatic and arthritic relief

*Back Pain

*Stress, anxiety, tension, insomnia and depression

Love Child Necklace by Erica B Studios

I have always been a big fan of independent artists and designers. I am proud to don and display creations by smaller designers over mainstream / big label designers as part of my regular aesthetic. I guess that explains why I created Eklectic Mix Gifts and Designs. I can't seem to help myself when it comes to cool and eclectic items. But most of all and I am especially happy that I can now share my finds with you.

My latest wonderful find is the addition of a jewelry line by Erica B Studios. This lovely Los Angeles artist combines mulitiple elements to bring her designs to life. Featured above is a necklace that I purchased from her a few weeks ago. I love the combination of precious metal and resin as well as the pop of color. Most of the jewelry by Erica B Studios has a "story" and is accompanied with the piece. Some "stories" consist of poetry, a word and definition, a phrase, or a quote. I love that every piece of her work has meaning behind it. I hope that you enjoy the work of Erica B Studios as much as I do.

Thoughts On Being Royal

Theodore Roosevelt said "Speak softly and carry a big stick" I say "Walk softly and wear a tiara". I believe that all women (including our little girls in training) belong to the Sisterhood. We must recognize that we are all Queens, Princesses, Goddesses, and Divas and should be treated liked the royalty that we are.

I have had women tell me “Oh I am not that girly and I am no queen or princess”. My answer is always “Oh yes you are. You just have to identify your level of royalty and be comfortable with it.” Since we of the Sisterhood work very hard at being mothers, wives, executives, business owners, employees, and students; we have earned the right to determine what level of royalty we will reside on. I know urban and cowgirl princesses as well as a ghetto-fabulous princesses. So you see, we all can be royalty.

Regardless of how you choose to make your royal distinction, just make sure that you do it with style.

This is how I stay royal and classy:

Always walk with your head held high and be confident. Confident not demeaning.

Say thank-you (via spoken word, handwritten, or email)

In relationships remember you are a gift and that is the way you should be treated. I know some of us in the Sisterhood love hard, make sure your partner is worthy of your royal presence.

Always smile and be pleasant, remember there are some that are not as fortunate as you, and your smile could brighten their day.

Create a cache: make sure your stationery, license plate holder, dinnerware, flat wear, key ring, coat hooks are either shaped, monogrammed or have emblems that are crowns or Tiara's. The choices are endless. For ideas see our Royal Family page.

When entertaining use our For Your Royal Ass Toilet Tissue in your powder room. This will surely put a smile on your guest’s face.

When you invite your friends to tea or girls night out make sure you display your Tiara or Crown motif in your decorations and favors.

Have a girl night out and have all of your guests wear a tiara.

My daughter’s absolute favorite is to wear her tiara (the one pictured) to the grocery store. She told me that she gets many compliments and smiles.

My daughter (the princess) just purchased a crown shaped rhinestone house key from Keys To My Castle. You truly have to see this item in person to appreciate it.

My daughter also found a crown shaped doorbell for her home from Home Portfolio.

Never ever settle for less than you deserve as the song goes "I Am Woman Hear Me Roar"

Last but not least always act and dress like a lady.
